What we collect

Radar404 is designed to operate without personal data. For each installed store we process and store:

• The store's myshopify.com domain and Shopify API access token (required to operate the app).
• Paths of URLs that returned a 404 on the storefront, with aggregated hit counters, the referrer URL and the visitor's browser user-agent string (used only to distinguish crawlers from humans).
• Product, collection, page and blog post handles and titles from the store's catalog (used to suggest redirects).
• Redirect rules and settings configured by the merchant, and a log of actions taken by the app.

We do not collect or store visitor IP addresses, names, emails, order data or any other personal information about the store's customers.

AI processing

When AI suggestions are enabled, the broken URL path and a list of the store's product handles and titles are sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter, Inc.) to compute a redirect suggestion. No personal data is included in these requests.

Google Search Console (optional)

On the Pro plan, merchants can connect their Google Search Console account (read-only access). When connected, Radar404 stores an encrypted OAuth token, the email address of the connected Google account, the selected Search Console property, and aggregated search statistics (clicks, impressions, position) and index status for the store's own URLs. This data is used solely to surface broken pages that still appear in Google and to verify redirects; it is never sold or shared. Disconnecting (or uninstalling the app) revokes the token and permanently deletes all Google data. Radar404's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Hosting and subprocessors

• Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, EU).
• AI suggestions: OpenRouter, Inc. (URL paths and catalog titles only).

Data retention and deletion

404 data is retained according to the retention period configured by the merchant (30 to 365 days). All data for a store is permanently deleted when the app is uninstalled, and upon any shop/redact request from Shopify. We honor all mandatory Shopify privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact); since we store no customer personal data, customer requests require no action.
